We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor who will support our service provision in the Northern part of the organisation. 

As a member of IOSH (Tech SP) you will hold the NEBOSH general certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and ideally have experience of conducting fire risk assessments, experience of working in a health and safety role within the social care sector is also desirable.  There will be the need to deliver training as and when required.
Please be aware that this role is specifically for the North of England and Scotland and at times will involve elements of  travel and overnight stays.

Health & Safety Officer

30 hours per week (over 4 days), circa £25,000 per annum dependent on experience (pro rata)

Based at our Central Office in Taunton, you will provide support and advice to Managers across our multi site organisation on Health and Safety related matters.
Experience of working in a similar Health and Safety role is essential and knowledge of the Health and Social Care sector is desirable.
Your own transport is essential, along with flexibility to travel to different locations within the group.

Health Safety & Risk Manager.

Expert adviser…policy developer…problem solver…change manager. You’ll need to be all four for this role. As we provide a range of services for more than 3,000 older people, protecting the safety of residents and staff calls for a powerful blend of technical and leadership skills.

You will develop, implement and monitor all aspects of health, safety and risk across the organisation. This will certainly involve advising colleagues and conducting audits. But you will also provide training, review our policies, promote continuous improvement and help create a robust safety culture at all levels.

You must hold the NEBOSH General Certificate and have extensive health, safety and risk management experience in the care sector. First-class communication and data analysis skills are essential. You will also have the ability and flexibility to travel outside the local area.
