Current Member of the National Executive and President.

I am a chartered health and safety professional with over 25 years’ experience and have led health and safety in many ways for large multi-site organisations in the healthcare, social care and local government sectors along with delivering support and knowledge to many smaller providers.

I have been an active member of NASHiCS (and its forerunners) since its formation from the Health and Safety Forum in 2004 and have ensured it continues to be an excellent forum for informal networking, high quality events and sharing really expert sector specific information and updates.

Health and safety is everyone’s responsibility. We need to foster an open and relaxed culture where everyone looks out for one another, whether in relation to those we care for, all our employees, or anyone involved with this special and committed sector.

Having created the National Executive, I thought it was a good move to stay involved. I will offer support and ideas to ensure NASHiCS adapts and changes over the coming years and continues to be relevant within the sector; keep the flag flying and let all know we are here and necessary.

I want to see us continue growing the membership from all care settings in the UK, the small providers that need to hear experiences to grow themselves, aswell as the large and medium providers who are willing to help everyone in the sector. Stronger and Safer together.
