Responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of Health and Safety across 22 care homes in Hertfordshire, Central Bedfordshire, and Essex, which are home to approximately 1500 residents, employing around 2200 staff.

I have worked in the care sector for 14 years, and have recently transitioned into health and safety. My experience working within residential care settings has helped inform decision making around achievable implementation of policies and procedures. However, when I began my role, I found that access to guidance and support around health and safety within the care sector was more challenging to come by – I was then informed about NASHiCS. Joining NASHiCS has given me access to a wealth of knowledge and support from health and safety professionals, specifically focused on the care sector.

I joined the National Executive as the association has been a massive resource for myself, and I wanted to contribute to broadening the reach of NASHiCS so that health and safety knowledge and support is accessible to all within the care sector.
